The 2014 Welcome Week dates are not yet available but will take place in mid-February. Once the dates are established, an RSVP form will be made available here for guests to reserve their seat.
There is no substitute for experience. It is integral for prospective students and their families to make a fully educated decision in considering the Latin School experience and perhaps no opportunity better informs the potential "fit" of a student than being a Trojan for a day! What differentiates Welcome Week from an independent day of shadowing a student (which we arrange throughout the school year) is that prospective students get to meet each other - and for students who receive admission to CLS, they will have met several of their future classmates at this event.
Prospective students are grouped with current CLS students to experience a ½ day attending a combination of Prep and Freshman classes, experience faculty-student dialogue, student interactions between classes at lunch (on us) and generally, just take in the atmosphere and sense of our caring and supportive community.
Parents must ensure that your grade school is aware that your student will be missing a ½ day of class. Students attending private grade school may certainly wear their school uniform when visiting. Our students will be in CLS Dress Code but visiting guests may wear properly fitting slacks and a casual, tucked-in, shirt (t-shirts, jeans, or any pants with an elastic or drawstring waist are not allowed). Please contact Carl Goodmonson, Director of Institutional Advancement, for any additional assistance or arrangements.
